Eventbrite

As a global leader in self-service ticketing for live events, Eventbrite has a lot of experience in getting to know their users and what they want. One of their products, Eventbrite Studio, was born out of their users’ desire to have an easy way to create custom, branded event sites without having to use a separate system. The sites are built with an easy drag-and-drop web builder with different themes to choose from. Each theme has an event series homepage where all events from a series can be listed, as well as an individual event detail page. I was hired on as one of the early theme design contributors for their ever-growing library to address the specific needs of some of their most popular niches—higher education, food, and music. My work entailed conducting stakeholder interviews, designing responsive wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, and a detailed documentation package with rules on what in the design can be customized and how much so they can be seamlessly integrated into the Eventbrite Studio ecosystem.
